Marius Paradies
Analyst


Marius Paradies is an analyst at Middle East Minds and a business consultant with a focus on geopolitics and economic crime. He studied Middle East International Relations and Arabic at the University of Edinburgh and History and Politics at the University of Manchester and the Free University of Berlin. Previously, he worked for national and international trade associations, the Federal Academy for Security Policy, in the capital markets department of a bank and as a freelance writer. He is particularly interested in the use of state capital for foreign and security policy objectives, especially in the case of the Gulf states and the resulting effects on the regional and global order. He is also interested in the strategic influence of infrastructure projects as well as regional food insecurity in the wake of global climate change.
