Silvia Lucretia Nicola
Analyst


Silvia Nicola is an analyst at Middle East Minds. She is also a full-time social scientist at the Centre for Military History and Social Sciences of the German Armed Forces. She studied Political Science at the Free University of Berlin and the Universidad de Granada (Spain) as well as Military Studies at the University of Potsdam. She is currently doing her PhD on German-Iraqi-Kurdish relations between 1991 and 2020 at the Free University of Berlin. Since 2016, she has also been working as a consultant in the field of migration and diaspora and has contributed to several studies for the IOM, the Federal Foreign Office and the GIZ. She also regularly leads seminars on political education.
